Sporting at Minuntion

The estate offers game shooting, red and roe deer stalking and salmon and trout fishing over 4000 acres of farmland, woodland and open hill. Whether you are an old hand, or a complete beginner, you are guaranteed a memorable experience - contact us to find out more.

Game shooting

The pheasant shoot at Minuntion is well known for its stunning scenery, spectacular birds, family-run atmosphere and delicious food. Driven days can be arranged between October and the end of January. Mini-driven or walked-up days are also available where we would expect to see woodcock, snipe, duck, pheasant and pigeon. As part of your day we can also organise duck flighting at one of our ponds at dawn or dusk.

Fishing

We have over two miles of double-bank fishing on the River Stinchar. Day tickets for salmon, sea trout and brown trout (fly only) are available between the end of February and the end of October. Lessons in casting can be arranged with a local ghillie. Hill loch fishing from a boat for wild brown trout is also available. Whilst the trip there may take time, its remote woodland location more than makes up for the effort in getting there.
